Beetroot and turmeric shots recipe

Beetroot and turmeric shots

Created by The Tesco Recipes team

Turmeric shots may be on-trend, but we think this drink is here to stay! We've added some zing with lemon and a sweet note with orange and fresh beetroot to create a deliciously refreshing drink that's high in vitamin C. Keep these in the fridge for breakfast, a snack or whenever you fancy a pick-me-up.

Method

  1. Pick out any obvious pips from the lemon and orange, then put in a juicer with the fresh beetroot and turmeric (ginger would also work well).
  2. If you don’t have a juicer, use a blender, then pass the mixture through a fine sieve. Juice or blend until smooth, then store in sterilised bottles or containers*. The shots will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
    • *To sterilise a glass jar or bottle, wash in hot, soapy water and rinse. Dry in the oven for 15-20 mins at gas 1, 140°C, fan 120°C. Boil the lids for 10 mins, then leave to dry.
