Tuna with a chilli and caper marinade

Ingredients

  • 1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1tbsp small capers
  • 2tbsp fresh, chopped parsley
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 2tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 x 125g (4oz) tuna steaks
  • steamed fine green beans, to serve
  • crispy potatoes, to serve

Method

  1. Mix the chilli, garlic, capers, parsley, lemon juice and oil in a small bowl.Put the tuna in a shallow dish and toss well with the marinade. Season and then chill for 1 hour.
  2. Heat the barbecueand grill the fish on direct heat for 2-3 minutes each side, depending on the thickness of your fish. Serve with green beans and crispy potatoes, if you like.
