Christmas cocktails don't get much better than this. Featuring a beautiful blend of winter berries and garnished with a sugar rim, a strip of orange zest and a candy cane, it's the ultimate festive tipple.

- lime or lemon wedge
- sugar, to coat the rim of the glass
- 50ml cranberry juice
- 25ml sloe gin
- 25ml vodka
- handful ice cubes
- few strips of orange zest, to serve
- 1 candy cane, to serve

Method
- Place a martini glass in the freezer 5 mins before you want to serve the cocktail.
- Meanwhile, pour the cranberry juice, sloe gin, vodka and ice into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Remove the glass from the freezer. Rub the rim of your martini glass with the lime or lemon wedge, then put the sugar in a small, shallow dish and dip the glass in the sugar to create a frosty rim effect.
- Strain the mixture into the sugar-rimmed glass. Decorate with the orange zest and a candy cane to serve.
