1. Clubcard Plus
Clubcard Plus is a subscription program offering benefits to its subscribers as set out in these terms and conditions ("Clubcard Plus Subscription".)
The contract that applies to your Clubcard Plus Subscription is between you and Tesco Stores Limited and is subject to the terms and conditions contained in, or linked from, this page.
Please note that our General Terms and Conditions our Product Terms and Conditions and our Clubcard Terms and Conditions also apply to your Clubcard Plus Subscription. If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and those documents, these terms and conditions will take primacy. You are only eligible to subscribe to Clubcard Plus if you are resident in the United Kingdom.By subscribing to Clubcard Plus, you are confirming that:
• you have read and understood all of the terms and conditions contained in, or linked from, this page; and
• you expressly request that we start providing you with the benefits available under Clubcard Plus as soon as possible, without waiting for your standard 14 day cancellation period to expire.
If either of the above statements is incorrect, you should not proceed with your subscription to Clubcard Plus.
2. Discount Benefits
The Clubcard Plus discount benefits are as follows ("Discount Benefits"):
10% off two shops of your choice in-store:
As a Clubcard Plus subscriber you will receive 10% discount on two shops of your choice in-store in each Subscription Period (that period being as described in Section 5 below) on food, drinks, alcohol, household, pet, baby, fresh flowers & plants and health & beauty products subject to the following exceptions ("Two Big Shops Discount").
The products excluded from the Two Big Shops Discount are as follows:
• Fuel and motoring-related products
• Lottery
• Gift vouchers and gift cards
• Savings stamps and postage stamps
• Tobacco products and accessories
• Infant baby formula milk
• Prescription medicines
• Newspapers and magazines
• General merchandise, including:
• Electricals
• Mobile phones, top-ups and accessories
• Sports, bikes and camping
• Car accessories and DIY
• Luggage and bags
• Media and entertainment
• Homeware
• Kitchenware
• Gardening Equipment and BBQ
• Stationery, cards and wrapping paper
• Party accessories
• Toys and nursery
• Seasonal non-food
• In-store third-party concession products
• Bureau de change
• Carrier bag charges
• In-store café or coffee shop
• When purchasing alcohol where minimum unit pricing rules apply (full details below)
• Products which are subject to the separate Always On Discount (see below)
The Two Big Shops Discount is capped at a £200 basket value (so a maximum of £20 discount) for each of the two shops falling within the relevant Subscription Period. So, for example, if you spend £240.00, by using one of your Two Big Shops Discount you will receive a maximum discount of £20.00 on that £240.00 basket (i.e. anything beyond the maximum limit of £200 of qualifying groceries will not be discounted).
Where Minimum Unit Pricing rules apply, when purchasing alcohol, you may not receive some or all of the 10% discount to the extent that it would reduce the price of the products concerned below the Minimum Unit Price (see section 12 for full details).
The Two Big Shops Discount applies in-store only at Tesco stores (so excludes any Jack’s, Booker or One Stop store) and not to any shopping online via the Tesco website or Click+Collect.
To access your Two Big Shops Discount, at checkout, you will need to scan one of the two unique Clubcard Plus discount codes in your Clubcard App. These two discount codes can only be used once in any Subscription Period (i.e. you get two codes per Subscription Period and they will refresh at the start of each Subscription Period).
10% Always On In-Store:
Separate to the Two Big Shops Discount, Clubcard Plus subscribers get a permanent 10% discount off the following Tesco brand products when purchased in-store by scanning their Clubcard App ("Always On Discount"):
• F&F
• Fred & Flo
• Paperchase
• Go Play
• Go Create
• "Tesco Pet", being Tesco own brand pet products which is contained in Tesco packaging
• Go Cook
• Fox & Ivy
The Always On Discount applies regardless of basket value (for example, if you buy £300.00 worth of F&F clothing in-store, you will get the full 10% discount of £30.00).
Please note the Always On Discount and the Big Shop Discounts are mutually exclusive – this means that if a product is eligible for both discounts you will only get 10% discount and not 20%.
Similarly, the Always On Discount applies in-store only at Tesco stores (so excludes any Jack’s, Booker or One Stop store) and not to any shopping online via the Tesco website or Click+Collect.
The Discount Benefits cannot be accessed by physical Clubcard or key fob (i.e. they must be accessed via the Clubcard App).
3. Additional products and services
As a Clubcard Plus subscriber, you additionally receive the opportunity to apply for products and services provided by Tesco Mobile and Tesco Bank exclusively to Clubcard Plus customers.
Tesco Mobile products and service
Tesco Mobile is a separate company to Tesco Stores. Qualifying products and services available to Clubcard Plus subscribers may vary or be withdrawn at Tesco Mobile’s sole discretion. You should check the Clubcard Plus website and Clubcard App to see what is available.
Although you have to be a Clubcard Plus Subscriber to be eligible to apply for the exclusive Tesco Mobile products and services, relevant Tesco Mobile products and services do not form part of your Clubcard Plus Subscription. You will need to apply for them separately and you must remember that each Tesco Mobile product or service has its own terms and conditions which will be applicable irrespective of your Clubcard Plus Subscription.
Unless otherwise stated, Tesco Mobile products and services are subject to status, and your application may be subject to its own credit checks and application processes. Your application is not guaranteed to be successful just because you have a Clubcard Plus Subscription.
Whilst there may be more than one Tesco Mobile product or service on offer at any time through your Clubcard Plus Subscription, you are only entitled to hold one Tesco Mobile product or service at a time through you’re your subscription. You can of course purchase other Tesco Mobile products and services outside your Clubcard Plus Subscription.
Any unsuccessful application for a Tesco Mobile product or service does not entitle you to a refund on any part of the Subscription Fee (as described in Section 4 below).
Continued access to the Tesco Mobile product or service is reliant on you continuing to hold a Clubcard Plus Subscription and Tesco Mobile may remove the Tesco Mobile product or service if your Clubcard Plus Subscription ends for any reason. If this occurs, Tesco Mobile will always do this in line with the terms and conditions (including any requirement for notice) for that product or service. Cancellation or termination of your Clubcard Plus Subscription will not affect your core Tesco Mobile agreement which will continue in accordance with those specific terms and conditions.
Tesco Bank products and services
Tesco Bank is a separate company to Tesco Stores. Qualifying products and services available to Clubcard Plus subscribers may vary or be withdrawn at Tesco Bank’s sole discretion. You should check the Clubcard Plus website and Clubcard App to see what is available.
Although you have to be a Clubcard Plus Subscriber to be eligible to apply for the exclusive Tesco Bank products and services, they are separate to and do not form part of your Clubcard Plus subscription. You will need to apply separately for them and you must remember that each Tesco Bank product or service has its own terms and conditions which will be applicable irrespective of your Clubcard Plus Subscription.
Unless otherwise stated, Tesco Bank products and services are subject to status, and your application may be subject to its own credit checks and application processes. Your application is not guaranteed to be successful just because you have a Clubcard Plus Subscription.
Any unsuccessful application for a Tesco Bank product or service does not entitle you to a refund on any part of the Subscription Fee (as described in Section 4 below).
Continued access to the Tesco Bank product or service, including any preferential rates or terms, may be reliant on you continuing to hold a Clubcard Plus subscription and Tesco Bank may close your account or remove any preferential rates or terms if your Clubcard Plus subscription ends for any reason. If this occurs, Tesco Bank will always do this in line with the terms and conditions (including any requirement for notice) for that product or service. Cancellation or termination of your Clubcard Plus Subscription will not affect your core Tesco Bank agreement which will continue in accordance with those specific terms and conditions.
4. Subscription Fee and payment
Your subscription fee is the price displayed at the time that you subscribe for Clubcard Plus ("Subscription Fee").
You will not earn Clubcard points on payment of the Subscription Fee.
We reserve the right to alter the Subscription Fee for future renewals of your Clubcard Plus Subscription. We will notify you of any alteration in the Subscription Fee in accordance with the arrangements set out in Section 9. You can stop your auto-renewal if you do not wish to renew by paying the new Subscription Fee.
The Subscription Fee will be taken on or after the date you sign up for Clubcard Plus, and will also be taken automatically each time your subscription renews. By signing up for your Clubcard Plus Subscription you indicate your consent to us debiting the Subscription Fee monthly, using the payment details provided by you.
We will suspend your Clubcard Plus Subscription if we are unable to process your Subscription Fee payment and that suspension will continue until such time as you amend your payment details and we are then able to process your Subscription Fee.
5. Subscription Period and automatic renewal
Your Clubcard Plus Subscription:
• is divided into periods which are one calendar month in length (each a "Subscription Period");
• will start on the day that we successfully process the first payment of your Subscription Fee ("Start Date"); and
• will automatically renew each calendar month until your Clubcard Plus Subscription auto-renewal is cancelled (by you) or is terminated (by us) in accordance with these terms and conditions.
As an example, if your Start Date is 15 November, your Clubcard Plus Subscription will automatically renew on 15 December.
6. Cancellation
The arrangements that apply if you wish to cancel your Clubcard Plus Subscription during a Free Trial Period are set out in Section 11 below.
You can cancel your Clubcard Plus Subscription at any time by clicking on the “Cancel Renewal” button within the Clubcard Plus Subscription account page. You will not receive a refund but will continue to receive the Discount Benefits until the end of your current Subscription Period.
Cooling Off
In addition, you have the right to cancel your Clubcard Plus Subscription within 14 days of your initial sign-up without giving any reason ("Cooling Off Period"). To exercise this right to cancel, you must contact Customer Services. If you cancel during the Cooling Off Period, your access to the Discount Benefits and your ability to apply for Tesco Bank or Tesco Mobile products or services will cease immediately.
If you cancel during the Cooling Off Period, and:
• you have not used any of the Discount Benefits, we will provide you with a full refund of the Subscription Fee. The refund will be made as soon as reasonably possible to the payment card that you used to subscribe to Clubcard Plus.
• you have used any of the Discount Benefits, we may issue you a partial refund based on your use of the Discount Benefits during that time, unless the value of your Discount Benefits exceeds the Subscription Fee, in which case you will not receive a refund.
7. Limitations to your Clubcard Plus Subscription
Your Clubcard Plus Subscription and Discount Benefits:
• apply to your Clubcard account and should not be either shared with or used by anyone else, unless that person is your joint account-holder; and
• may only be used for personal and consumer use, on the basis that use for business purposes is strictly prohibited
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Clubcard Plus Subscription immediately by notice if we consider that:
• your use of the Discount Benefits materially breaches these Terms and Conditions or any applicable law; or
• you fraudulently use or misuse the Discount Benefits.
In either of the above circumstances, we will inform you of the termination of your Clubcard Plus Subscription and you will not be entitled to receive a refund of any part of your Subscription Fee.
Examples of misuse of the Clubcard Plus Subscription include (but are not limited to):
• using the Discount Benefits for business rather than personal use;
• sharing your Clubcard Plus Subscription with others (other than a joint account holder);
• fraudulent use or misuse of Tesco Bank and/or Tesco Mobile products or services; or
• having multiple Clubcard Plus accounts.
9. Our rights to make changes
Where we need to make changes to these terms and conditions or to the Discount Benefits, we reserve the right to do so in any of the circumstances listed below, by uploading a suitably updated version of these terms and conditions to the Clubcard Plus website or Clubcard App:
• for legal, regulatory or security reasons;
• to enhance existing features or add additional features to the Discount Benefits;
• to implement reasonable technical adjustments and improvements; or
• to ensure the ongoing operability of the Discount Benefits.
In addition, we may make material changes to these terms and conditions and/or to Clubcard Plus more generally (including without limitation; removing Discount Benefits; increasing the Subscription Fee; or ending Clubcard Plus), by providing you with at least one full month's notice of the material change(s) concerned, by posting an update on our Clubcard Plus website or Clubcard App, or by other reasonable means, such as email.
Your continued subscription will constitute your acceptance of any material change(s) that may have been made in accordance with the above arrangements. If you do not wish to continue your Clubcard Plus Subscription following any such change, you may cancel your auto-renewal and so terminate your subscription at the end of your current Subscription Period.
If any change to these terms and conditions is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, in whole or part, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions which shall remain in full force and effect.
10. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, we will be responsible for any loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breaking our contract with you or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these terms and conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which was not foreseeable and beyond our reasonable control. Loss or damage will be foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time our contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen.

This Section does not limit or affect our liability if we act negligently and this causes death or personal injury and does not otherwise exclude or limit any liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
The Clubcard Plus subscription is operated by Tesco Stores Limited, Tesco House, Shire Park, Kestrel Way, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 1GA. Our Company Registration Number is 519500, and our VAT number is GB220 4302 31.
Tesco Bank products and services are provided by Barclays Bank UK PLC. Registered Office: 1 Churchill Place, London E14 5HP. Registered in England No. 9740322.

11. Free Trial
If you have been offered a trial period, you will not be charged the Subscription Fee for the duration of the trial period notified to you ("Free Trial Period"). After the Free Trial Period ends, the Subscription Fee will be charged automatically (in accordance with Section 4), and you will not be entitled to a refund.
You may cancel your Clubcard Plus Subscription at any time during the Free Trial Period by clicking on the "Cancel Renewal" button within the Clubcard Plus Subscription account page. Despite that cancellation, you will continue to receive the Discount Benefits until the end of your Free Trial Period.
You will get a Free Trial Period for your first month of subscribing to Clubcard Plus ("Free Month"), however you won't be eligible for any further free month offers unless you have either not been a subscriber to Clubcard Plus for any continuous six month period of time or we inform you otherwise.
Tesco reserves the right to offer free trials of longer than one month at its discretion.
Any change to the Free Trial Period will be notified to you by e-mail or via a posting on our website or Clubcard App.
12. Minimum Unit Price and Permitted Price
Permitted Price (England) and Minimum Unit Price (Scotland and Wales) set the price below which alcoholic drinks cannot be sold.
When purchasing alcohol as a Clubcard Plus subscriber, you may not receive some or all of your 10% discount, as this may reduce the price of the products concerned below the Minimum Unit Price in Scotland and Wales or (ii) the Permitted Price in England.
For example, if in Scotland, you purchased a bottle of wine costing £8.00 which would be reduced to £7.20 by the 10% discount, but the Minimum Unit Price for that bottle of wine is £7.60, then the discount price would be £7.60 and any additional discount that would otherwise be linked to that bottle will not be applied.
If, following publication of these terms and conditions, legislation changes with regard to Minimum Unit Pricing within other jurisdictions within the United Kingdom, this same principle will also apply.
13. Choice of Law
These terms and conditions replace all previous versions and are correct as of November 2019. They are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
