Vanilla chai latte recipe

For a tea break treat, try a warming mug of milky vanilla chai with a Belvita Choc Chips Soft Bake for dunking. The chocolate chips are a great flavour match for the spices and vanilla in the drink.

Ingredients
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 cardamom pods, seeds removed
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- 3 black peppercorns
- 3cm piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 1 English Breakfast tea bag
- 200ml skimmed milk
- 1 tsp light brown soft sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch ground cinnamon, to dust
- 1 x 50g Belvita Choc Chips Soft Bake

Method
- Toast the cinnamon stick, cardamom seeds, cloves, star anise and peppercorns in a dry frying pan over a medium heat for 1-2 mins until fragrant. Add to a jug with the ginger and the teabag and pour over 100ml freshly boiled water. Leave to infuse, undisturbed, for 10 mins.
- In a small pan, bring the milk, sugar and vanilla extract to the boil. Vigorously whisk to create alight foam.
- Strain the tea into a mug and pour over the hot milk, holding the foam back with a dessertspoon. Spoon over the foam and dust with the ground cinnamon. Serve with a Belvita Choc Chips Soft Bake.
