Buck's fizz recipe

Buck's fizz

There's no better way to toast a celebration or festive occasion than with a glass of bubbly Buck's Fizz. This classic cocktail recipe is made with freshly-squeezed orange juice for a real fruity flavour and topped up with decadent Champagne. If short on time, you could use normal orange juice rather than squeezing your own, and cava works well in place of Champagne.

Method

  1. Use a vegetable peeler to peel thin strips of zest from one of the oranges. Set aside until ready to serve.
  2. Squeeze the juice from all 4 oranges and measure out 400ml. Alternatively, use 400ml ready-made orange juice.
  3. Divide the orange juice between 8 Champagne flutes, then slowly top up with the chilled Champagne.
  4. Twist the reserved strips of peel into curls and use to garnish the glasses.
    • Tip

Freezing the orange zest curls can help them keep their shape, especially if preparing ahead.
