We can provide a repeat supply of any oral contraceptive tablet that is currently available on an NHS prescription. You must be using your current supply of oral contraceptive – customers who’ve had a gap in their current supply will not be eligible.

You should be eligible for the service if you need a repeat supply of your ongoing oral contraceptive and you:

You’ll have a face-to-face consultation with our pharmacist in a private consultation room. We’ll run through a general health screening questionnaire and if you’re taking a combined contraceptive tablet (oestrogen and progesterone), we’ll also need to check your blood pressure and BMI. You can bring your own measurements, if you know them.

If you can, book your appointment with us 2–3 weeks before your current supply of oral contraceptives runs out.

The consultation should take around 15-20 minutes.

No. We can only provide a repeat supply of your existing oral contraceptive. If you need support with changing your oral contraceptive, you should contact your GP surgery or sexual health clinic.

Yes, absolutely. Your consultation will take place with a Tesco pharmacist in one of our private consultation rooms. The service is completely confidential and no information from the consultation is shared with your GP without your consent.

Please bring information about the medication you’ve been prescribed by your GP or sexual health clinic. You can bring a recent repeat slip of your medication. If you don't have this to hand, you can give consent for the pharmacist to access your Summary Care Record.

We can provide up to 12 months’ supply of your oral contraceptive. We’ll usually supply the usual amount you receive from your GP.
