Expert Opinion

In the press...

Of the 2009 vintage, Helen McGinn said: “A not so classic, but very smooth, Italian red that’s super at the price. Made from a blend of Sangiovese with a bit of Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot. Really lovely.”

Helen McGinn - Femail, Daily Mail 14/03/2013

Of the 2009 vintage, Susy Atkins said: “If you’re looking for a medium bodied fine, yet easy drinking red, not too heavy, not too jammy, then my tip is to head for Central Italy’s Tuscany region for a well-balanced red, just like this one. Regional info

Renaissance wine-makers begun making wine in Tuscany over 600 years ago. The rolling hills of Tuscany are the ideal location for growing grapes and the region is world famous for producing premium quality red wines such as the famous Chianti. This Super Tuscan is part of a modern, new-wave group of wine-makers who create wines that lie outside of the DOC classification because they include international grape varietite such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
