Description

Egeria densa, commonly known as Anacharis, is a popular aquatic plant celebrated for its robust growth and ability to adapt to a variety of water conditions. It features long, slender stems with whorled, lanceolate leaves that create a lush green backdrop in aquariums. Egeria densa is ideal for background placement, where it can reach impressive heights and provide shelter for fish and invertebrates. This plant is particularly easy to care for, making it a great choice for beginners looking to enhance their tank with vibrant greenery. While it can thrive without CO2, adding it can promote faster growth and healthier foliage. With moderate to high lighting, Egeria densa flourishes, helping to oxygenate the water and absorb excess nutrients, making it an excellent choice for natural aquascaping.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Plants are incubated for one hour in a 0.01% solution of the insecticide Buprofezin. Please do not drop them straight into a shrimp tank, or any tank holding other crustaceans. To use them in such a tank, first wash them in water with baking soda, under light. They are treated to remove the insecticide, but there are cases where it has not been fully removed, causing casualties among crustaceans.
