Description

Chladophora aegagropila, commonly known as Moss Balls, is a unique and low-maintenance aquatic plant that naturally forms a dense, velvety green ball. It is highly popular among aquarists for its visual appeal, its ability to absorb excess nutrients, and its ease of care. Moss Balls thrive in a variety of water conditions and can be placed in the foreground of an aquarium as a decorative element or left to float. These plants grow slowly but are long-lasting, making them perfect for beginners or those who prefer low-maintenance setups. Moss Balls also help improve water quality by reducing nitrate levels and creating a healthy environment for fish and shrimp. For optimal health, gently roll the Moss Ball occasionally to maintain its round shape, and ensure it receives moderate lighting for photosynthesis.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Plants are incubated for one hour in a 0.01% solution of the insecticide Buprofezin. Please do not drop them straight into a shrimp tank, or any tank holding other crustaceans. To use them in such a tank, first wash them in water with baking soda, under light. They are treated to remove the insecticide, but there are cases where it has not been fully removed, causing casualties among crustaceans.
