Description

Alternanthera reineckii is a stunning aquatic plant prized for its beautiful red and purple foliage, making it a standout in any aquarium. It thrives in midground to background positions, where its taller growth and vivid colors provide a striking contrast to green plants. This plant requires moderate care, with higher lighting and CO2 supplementation strongly recommended to bring out its full coloration and growth potential. Alternanthera reineckii is perfect for aquascapers looking to add a bold splash of color and texture to their tank. Its moderately fast growth under ideal conditions makes it a dynamic and visually impactful addition to a planted aquarium.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Plants are incubated for one hour in a 0.01% solution of the insecticide Buprofezin. Please do not drop them straight into a shrimp tank, or any tank holding other crustaceans. To use them in such a tank, first wash them in water with baking soda, under light. They are treated to remove the insecticide, but there are cases where it has not been fully removed, causing casualties among crustaceans.
