Description

Vesicularia ferriei ‘Weeping Moss’ is an elegant aquatic moss known for its distinctive downward-growing fronds that create a graceful, cascading effect. Commonly used in aquariums and paludariums, it is especially effective when attached to driftwood or elevated hardscape, where its weeping growth habit can be fully appreciated. This moss is fully aquatic and thrives when submerged, preferring stable water conditions and moderate lighting to maintain its characteristic form. It provides shelter for shrimp, fry, and beneficial microorganisms, contributing to a healthy aquarium ecosystem. Slightly more demanding than Java Moss, its unique appearance makes it a popular choice among aquascapers seeking a refined, natural look.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Plants are incubated for one hour in a 0.01% solution of the insecticide Buprofezin. Please do not drop them straight into a shrimp tank, or any tank holding other crustaceans. To use them in such a tank, first wash them in water with baking soda, under light. They are treated to remove the insecticide, but there are cases where it has not been fully removed, causing casualties among crustaceans.
