Description

Bacopa caroliniana is a popular and hardy aquatic plant, well-known for its vibrant green, oblong leaves and easy-care requirements. This plant thrives in various water conditions, making it an excellent choice for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. Bacopa caroliniana grows vertically, making it ideal for midground to background placement in aquariums, where its bushy stems can create a beautiful, dense background. It adapts well to lower light levels but performs best with moderate lighting, which helps maintain its lush green color. While it does not require CO2 supplementation, adding CO2 can boost growth and leaf density. This plant is also known for its slightly aromatic leaves when grown emersed. With its moderate growth rate and adaptability, Bacopa caroliniana is a reliable, low-maintenance plant that adds both height and texture to any aquascape.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Plants are incubated for one hour in a 0.01% solution of the insecticide Buprofezin. Please do not drop them straight into a shrimp tank, or any tank holding other crustaceans. To use them in such a tank, first wash them in water with baking soda, under light. They are treated to remove the insecticide, but there are cases where it has not been fully removed, causing casualties among crustaceans.
