Description

Microsorum pteropus sp. 'Trident', commonly known as Trident Java Fern, is a unique aquatic plant appreciated for its distinctively shaped leaves that resemble the prongs of a trident. The plant features dark green leaves that are narrow and deeply lobed, adding texture and interest to aquascapes. This variety is ideal for midground to background placement, where it can be attached to rocks or driftwood, enhancing the natural look of the aquarium. Trident Java Fern is very easy to care for and adapts well to a variety of water conditions, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced aquarists. It does not require CO2 supplementation, although providing it will encourage healthier growth. With low to moderate lighting, Microsorum pteropus sp. 'Trident' flourishes, contributing to a lush and vibrant aquatic environment.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Plants are incubated for one hour in a 0.01% solution of the insecticide Buprofezin. Please do not drop them straight into a shrimp tank, or any tank holding other crustaceans. To use them in such a tank, first wash them in water with baking soda, under light. They are treated to remove the insecticide, but there are cases where it has not been fully removed, causing casualties among crustaceans.
