Description

The S-FIXX ratchet secateurs are designed to make cutting through branches and stems easier by utilising a ratcheting mechanism. These pruners are particularly useful for individuals with reduced hand strength or those who find it challenging to make a single, continuous cut through thicker branches. The pruner can be switched from bypass to ratchet mode from a switch depending on the application.Key features of the S-FIXX ratchet secateurs include:Ratcheting Mechanism: Unlike traditional bypass pruners that require the user to apply continuous pressure, ratchet secateurs have a mechanism that allows for incremental cutting. This means the user can make several short cuts with less effort instead of one continuous cut. The Bypass function can also be engaged for light pruning.Ease of Use: The ratchet mechanism makes it easier to cut through thicker branches by allowing the user to apply pressure in a series of steps rather than all at once. This can be beneficial for individuals with hand or wrist issues.Reduced Effort: The design of ratchet secateurs reduces the effort required to make cuts, making them more accessible for a wider range of users. This can be particularly advantageous when dealing with tougher or hardwood branches.Versatility: The S-FIXX ratchet secateurs are suitable for cutting a variety of plant materials, including branches, stems, and twigs. They are commonly used in pruning trees, shrubs, and bushes.Maintenance: Like other pruning tools, it's important to keep the blades of the ratchet secateurs sharp. Regular cleaning and occasional lubrication of the moving parts will help maintain the tool's effectiveness. When using ratchet secateurs, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper maintenance and usage. Additionally, consider the specific requirements of the plants you are pruning to ensure the tool is appropriate for the task at hand. The S-FIXX ratchet secateurs can be a valuable addition to a gardener's toolkit, providing an easier and more efficient way to prune and shape plants.
