The geared mechanism multiplies cutting force for maximum leverage with minimal effort, while the anvil blade closes onto a solid cutting block for effective cuts through hard, dry or dead wood. Telescopic lightweight aluminium handles extend from 63 cm to 83 cm and lock in five positions to give extra reach and control. Large shock-absorbing cushion buffers reduce handle impact and soft comfort grips improve fatigue-free use. The premium ground carbon steel blade has a non-stick PTFE finish for smoother cutting, rust resistance and easier cleaning.
