Highlights

  • FOR ABSORBENT LEATHER ONLY: Before purchasing, apply a small drop of water to an intact area of your leather. If it soaks in, the leather is suitable. Restores faded colour and disguises surface scuffs and scratches; for deeper damage or non-absorbent leather, use our Leather Repair Kit. Packaging may vary.
  • QUICK & EASY COLOUR RESTORATION: Available in 16 colours for sofas, car interiors, shoes, handbags and more. Apply with a cloth, wait 15 minutes, then buff until no colour transfers. Colour builds with additional applications and is colourfast once dry and thoroughly buffed.
  • COMPLETE YOUR LEATHER CARE ROUTINE: Clean the leather before applying the balm, then condition afterwards. Upgrade to our money-saving Complete Leather Restoration Kit, including Leather Ultra Clean, Leather Protection Cream, Recolouring Balm and sponges.

Description

The Leather Re-Colouring Balm renovates the colour and aspect of all leather items both old and new. There are 16 colours formulated for use on leather from a dark to light shade. It works great at re-colouring areas that have been exposed to sun light or direct heat, and is ideal for colouring cat scratches and re-colouring dried out and faded areas. Note: This product is designed to work on absorbent leathers only. To test your leather for absorbency, simply drop a small amount of water onto your leather and wait 5-10 seconds. If the water sinks into the leather and leaves a darker patch, you have absorbent leather. If the water stays on the surface, your leather is not absorbent and the product will not be suitable. After the initial application, Leather Re-colouring Balm is generally re-applied once every three years to maintain colour. Instructions for use Step 1: Clean the leather first before applying the Balm, for best results use Furniture Clinic Leather Ultra Clean - This is because Leather Ultra Clean deep cleans the leather to remove all dirt, but also opens up the pores of the leather so the Re-Colouring Balm will take to the leather in a better fashion. Step 2: Rub the Balm into the leather, with a clean cloth or sponge, in a circular motion to ensure penetration. This is often enough to completely restore lighter shades. Take a clean cloth and then buff the surface of the leather. Make sure there is no excess Balm left on the leather. Step 3: The colour will darken with further applications, apply as required, colour will darken with each application. Step 4: Protect your leather to prevent staining and extend its functional life, Furniture Clinic Leather Protection Cream is advised for this.• FOR ABSORBENT LEATHER ONLY: With this product we recommend you test the ability of your furniture to absorb liquid prior to purchasing. To complete this test within 5 seconds, apply a small drop of water onto an intact section of your leather, and see if the water soaks in. If the water is absorbed and the colour darkens, then the leather is absorbent, and the Balm will work. If it doesn’t, then you should use our Leather Repair Kit.• RESTORES FADED AND SCRATCHED LEATHER: Our Recolouring Balm will restore the colour to worn and faded leather, as well as repair scuffs and scratches on the surface. For repairing deeper scratches, cuts, and rips or for non-absorbent leathers, we recommend using our Leather Repair Kit.• QUICK AND EASY TO USE: Our leather restoration cream re-instates the colour in just one application. Once dry, this coloured leather balm is completely colourfast with no dye transfer. Simply apply the balm with a cloth, wait 15 minutes, then buff until no colour transfer is seen.• 16 COLOURS AVAILABLE: Leather Recolouring Balm is designed to match every shade, from light to dark. It blends in as applied; the more leather colour restorer you apply, the darker the colour will get. An essential leather restorer for sofas, leather furniture, car interiors, shoes, handbags, clothing, and more.• UPGRADE TO OUR MONEY-SAVING KIT: We recommend you clean the leather first with a leather cleaner to help the balm soak in. Then, after using our Recolouring Balm, nourish the leather with a leather conditioner. Or why not try our Complete Leather Restoration Kit which contains our Leather Ultra Clean, Leather Protection Cream, Balm and Sponges?
