Description

Marshalls Garden Wisteria 'Amethyst Falls' - a compact, container-friendly wisteria that produces abundant clusters of purple flowers. Flowers reliably in its first year, creating a vivid purple backdrop from May to July. Prefers full sun and moist but well-drained soil, planted about 45cm from a wall, fence or trellis. Supplied as a 9cm potted plant, plant in a hole twice as deep and three times as wide as the rootball, mix soil improver if heavy soil, add feed to aid establishment and water regularly if not planting immediately.

Product Care InstructionsUnpack and, if the weather is favourable, put outside as soon as it arrives and give it a water. When ready to plant, position in the right location and aspect in the garden. Plant 45cm from the base of a wall, fence, trellis or structure to grow up. Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant’s rootball. If soil is heavy, mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Add plant feed into the hole before backfilling to help establishment and growth. Place the plant in the hole so that it sits at the same level in the ground as it did in the pot. Keep the area around it clear to avoid overcrowding. Water regularly to keep the compost moist if not planting straight away.
