Description

Marshalls Garden Rhubarb 'Victoria' is a reliable culinary variety that produces generous crops of green stems with a pink tinge and a balanced sweet-tart flavour. Early to crop and less prone to stringiness, it’s ideal for pies, crumbles and preserves and can be harvested through winter until Easter. Supplied as a bare root crown, the plant thrives in full or partial sun and well-drained fertile soil. Plant crowns with the top just visible above soil, space 75–90 cm apart, water after planting and during dry spells, and feed with a general-purpose fertiliser in summer. Avoid harvesting in the first year and only take a few stems in the second year to allow the plant to build reserves.
