Description

Late-flowering Clematis 'Rouge Cardinal' produces very large, deep crimson flowers from mid to late summer, gradually fading with age. Hardy and suitable for sun or light shade, it performs beautifully trained over an arch, obelisk or trellis and makes an excellent focal point in borders or against walls. Supplied as a 7cm potted plant ready to plant, it prefers moist but well-drained soil and reaches approximately 2m in height. Plant 45cm from the base of a support, angle the rootball toward the desired direction of growth, and keep surrounding plants clear to aid establishment.

Product Care InstructionsPlant in full sun or part shade in moist but well-drained soil. Position 45cm from a wall/fence/trellis and plant at the same level as in the pot. Prune hard in early spring (Clematis Group 3). Water regularly and keep the compost moist if not planting straight away.
