Description

Marshalls Garden Philadelphus 'Virginal' is a tall, vigorous deciduous shrub producing masses of pure white double flowers in early to mid summer, with a strong orange-blossom fragrance that attracts bees and pollinators. Hardy and low-maintenance, it tolerates a wide range of conditions including urban pollution and coastal winds. Supplied as a pack of three 9cm potted plants, it prefers well-drained soil and partial sun. Plant any time of year, water well after planting and feed for establishment, and prune in summer if required.

Product Care InstructionsUnpack and, if the weather is favourable, put outside as soon as it arrives and water. When ready to plant, choose the right location and aspect. Keep the area clear to avoid overcrowding. Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and three times as wide as the rootball; if soil is heavy, mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Add plant feed into the hole before backfilling. Place the plant at the same level as it was in the pot, firm the soil around it and water thoroughly. Keep well watered and fed for establishment and growth. Trim in summer if needed.
