Description

Marshalls Garden Broccoli 'Claret' F1 produces extra-large, succulent spears with excellent colour and flavour, ready from mid-April and continuing with side shoots for several weeks. The vigorous habit delivers high yields so you need fewer plants, and the variety performs well on poorer soils. Nutritional note: high in vitamins A and C and a good source of iron. Sow seeds in trays or modules, one seed per module, keeping compost moist. Harden off seedlings for 7–14 days before transplanting outdoors, spacing plants about 45cm apart. Use collars and netting to protect against pests, and harvest the main head first to encourage further side shoots.
