Description

Marshalls Garden Savoy 'Tourmaline' produces compact, dark green, deeply savoyed heads with excellent flavour. This hardy variety is cold-tolerant and disease-resistant, offering reliable yields in cooler conditions. Sow indoors in modules using fine seed compost, one seed per module, keeping compost evenly moist; transplant once seedlings have true leaves and roots fill the module. Harden off for 7–14 days, then plant out 45 cm apart in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil with full sun. Sow or transplant 1 cm deep and protect with brassica collars or netting to deter pests. Suitable for pots, patios, small gardens, raised beds and vegetable plots.
