Description

Organic Haricot Beans Organic Haricot Beans are little, off-white, oval-shaped beans, packed in Sussex, that turn creamy and fluffy once cooked. This is the bean used in baked beans in tomato sauce, and it appears in South American, Mediterranean and Asian cooking as well as being widely eaten in the UK and the USA. Use haricots for pâtés, soups, chilli con carne, salads and other savoury meals.Although they are small, they are quite hard: soak them overnight, then boil rapidly and simmer until tender (see the cooking directions).Key points:Certified organic; packed in SussexSmall, off-white, oval beans; creamy and fluffy when cookedThe bean used for baked beans in tomato sauceSoak overnight, boil rapidly, then simmer until tenderUse in pâtés, soups, chilli con carne and salads
