Tomintoul - Small Batch White Port Cask Finish Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tomintoul Distillery was built in 1965, within the picturesque Cairngorms National Park.The Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, created this small batch bottling by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which are then married & finished in hand selected White Port barriques from Portugal.The process of ‘finishing’ creates a beautifully rich, complex & full flavoured single malt scotch whisky.Tasting Notes:Nose: Tangy stone fruits and lychees mingled with lemon drizzle cake, vanilla pod and ginger biscuits.Taste: Layers of apricot Danish, poached pears and tarte Tatin bound with black coffee, buttery malt and baking spices.Finish: Sweet and warming with notes of Swiss roll and strawberry trifle fading into mocha and toasted nuts.
