No messy melted wax, no smoke, no overwhelming odours and it can't get blown out. It's perfect if you have pets or children, with no open flame there is no risk of fire.They are so easy to use, controlled with a simple switch on the base. They come with an automatic built-in timer function. After turning the lights on, they will stay lit for 6 hours before turning off.
