Balvenie - Curious Casks - American Bourbon Barrell Single Malt Scotch 14 year old Whisky Initially this Whisky was set aside to become Single Barrel 12, however when it came time to taste it was noted the Whisky had picked up a subtle smoky flavour, picked up from being distilled straight after peat week, the barley is not peated at all. The Whisky has lived its 14 years in some of the highest quality Bourbon casks Balvenie has to offer.Nose: Velvety sweetness, rich toffee and smouldering oak reveal crisp citrus aromas and ever flowing honey musk.Palate: Candied orange peel is grounded in woody, earthy flavours from beautifully roasted malt and deep vanilla oakiness.
