Preparation and Usage

Allow steak to rest for 20 minutes at room temperature before cooking.

Oven

Instructions: 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6 Transfer the steak to a pre-heated roasting tray and place in the centre of a pre-heated oven. Cook for a further: 3 mins per 100g (rare) 4 mins per 100g (medium) 6 mins per 100g (well done) Remove from the oven. Allow steak to rest for 10 minutes in a warm place before serving. These instructions are given as a guideline only as steak thickness will vary slightly.

Shallow Fry

Instructions: Pre Heat a heavy based frying pan large enough for the steak until very hot. Rub or brush the steak with a little oil and season with sea salt. Place steak in the dry pan and cook over a high heat. PAN FRY 2 mins each side plus 30 secs for each steak edge.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 12 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.
