Turkey and bacon kebabs recipe

This healthy, dairy-free recipe is a great way to enjoy your favourite kebab fakeaway at home. Use leaner turkey meat wrapped in bacon for an indulgent take on the classic, stacked with red onion and peppers all marinated in a mustard and honey dressing, then served with lemony rice.

Ingredients
- 8 slices streaky bacon, cut in half
- 428g pack turkey breasts, cut into about 16 pieces
- 2 peppers, deseeded and cut into chunks
- 2 small red onions cut into 6 wedges
- 2tbsp clear honey
- 2tbsp grain mustard
- 2tbsp olive oil
- 1tbsp chopped rosemary (optional)
- rice, to serve
- lemons, to serve

Method
- Take 8 small skewers. Wrap a piece of bacon around each piece of turkey.(If using wooden skewers, soak in water for about 20 mins beforehand; this will stop them burning.) Thread 2 pieces of bacon-wrapped turkey onto each skewer, alternating with the veg.
- Mix together the honey, mustard, oil and rosemary (if using). Brush a little onto each kebab.
- Line a grill pan with foil and grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred and cooked through with no pink showing. Serve with rice, plus some lemon for squeezing.
