Pinwheel sandwich rolls recipe

Get rolling with the kids with these tasty pinwheel sandwiches filled with cream cheese, beef pastrami and fresh basil. A fun way to enjoy classic sandwiches and perfect for packing up for lunch or an outdoor adventure. Please note, you will need clingfilm to make these scrummy pinwheels.

Ingredients
- 8 x slices white or wholemeal sliced bread
- 1 x 250g tub soft cream cheese
- 1 x 110g pack beef pastrami
- 1 x 31g pack fresh basil

Method
- Lay out all of the bread slices on a clean surface and spread each one with some of the soft cheese making sure you go right to the edges. Now place some basilleaves on top of the soft cheese to cover. Then lay two slices of pastrami on top of the basil as the final layer.
- Trim off any excess pastrami from the edge of the bread. Roll up each piece of bread into a sausage starting from one end, then roll this tightly in cling film, twist the edges to secure and pop in the fridge. Do this with all the remaining pieces of bread.
- Chill in the fridge from 2 hours to overnight, depending on when you want to eat them. Remove from the fridge, unwrap each parcel and slice into pinwheel slices.
