Mince pie Yorkshire puddings

Sweet or savoury? You decide with a golden Yorkshire pudding loaded with spicy mincemeat and topped with a generous dollop of rich cream and a grating of orange zest.

    Ingredients

    • 375g mincemeat
    • 50g blanched almonds, roughly chopped
    • 2½ oranges, zested
    • 10 frozen Yorkshire puddings
    • 100g marzipan, grated
    • 2½ tsp icing sugar
    • extra thick double cream, to serve

    Method

    1. Preheat the oven to gas 4, 180°C, fan 160°C. Prepare a muffin tray or loosely line a small baking tray with foil, creating 4 wells for the Yorkshires to sit upright in.
    2. Mix together the mincemeat, chopped almonds and ½ the orange zest, then evenly spoon the mixture into each Yorkshire pudding. Top each with the grated marzipan.
    3. Cook in the oven for 12 mins, until bubbling and golden.
    4. Remove from the tray to a wire rack and dust with icing sugar. Serve with double cream and sprinkle over the remaining orange zest.
