Blueberry dip

This colourful blueberry dip makes a great snack or dessert for kids. What could be better than some fresh strawberries dunked in a fruity dip as a sweet treat?

Ingredients

  • 125g (4oz) blueberries
  • 75g caster sugar
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • 100g soft cheese
  • lemon juice, to taste
  • strawberries, for dunking

Method

  1. Put the blueberries, sugar and cinnamon in a small saucepan with 1 tbsp of water. Cook over a gentle heat for 5 minutes, until the blueberries start to break down and the sugar dissolves. Leave to cool.
  2. Put the soft cheese into a small blender and whizz until smooth. Add the blueberry mixture and pulse until smooth. Serve with strawberries for dunking. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
