Reference Series I Tailor-made for creative mixes, i, II and III are all created using the same four whiskies, but as you go up through the series, the proportion of older, exciting single malt goes up, allowing you to smell and taste the changes happening in the ingredients. You'll find is the first bottling from a new range of blended malts designed to be both tasty and educational - The Reference Series. Reference Series I has plenty of youthful single malts at its core, with older single malts adding layers of complexity. The series will continue with special releases (I.1, I.2, etc.) that display different ingredients of techniques, such as Sherry cask finished or the addition of caramel. With these, you can refer back to this whisky to discover just how these ingredients or techniques change the expressions.
