Description

Balfour Blanc de Blancs Brut 75cl The Blanc de Blancs from Balfour is made using only white grapes (predominantly Chardonnay). This multi vintage cuvée shows the classic Balfour characteristics of Kentish fruit combined with trademark English freshness.On the palate citrus and orchard fruit sit over light pastry notes with a refreshing, mineral finish.
The Balfour-Lynn family planted their first vineyards in 2002 on the beautiful Hush Heath Estate. Over the following years, co-founders Richard and Leslie formed a team of viticultural and winemaking experts who assisted them in creating a state-of-the-art winery and tasting room on Hush Heath Estate, which opened in 2010. In 2018 both the winery and tasting room were greatly expanded and are now regarded as some of the best visitor and winemaking facilities in England.Kent is one of England's leading wine-producing regions, known for its cool-climate vineyards on chalk, clay and sandy soils, where a warm, dry southeast climate supports high-quality still and world-class sparkling wines, particularly traditional-method styles.

Kent is one of England's leading wine-producing regions, known for its cool-climate vineyards on chalk, clay and sandy soils, where a warm, dry southeast climate supports high-quality still and world-class sparkling wines, particularly traditional-method styles.

Vinification Details

Stainless steel ferment at cool temperature. Bottled wine is then stored in stillage for at least 9 months to undergo secondary fermentation in bottle and lees aging.

History
