Preparation and Usage

Chef's tips1. A dark edge on the meat is no mistake! Known in Texas as the 'bark' - it adds bold flavour and incredible texture.2. The glaze can be used however you like! Glaze whilst cooking or use as a condiment to finish.3. Make sure you have a sharp knife to slice the meat nice and thin, displaying like a true pitmaster!Serving suggestionT o serve, cut along the bone to remove the meat, then slice the meat and serve with the glaze on the side. Important not suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. Check food is steaming hot throughout before serving.

Oven

Instructions: Remove outer packaging and place the sachet to one side. 200°C/ Fan 180°C/ Gas 6 55mins Empty the contents of the pouch into an ovenproof dish, meat side facing upwards and cover with foil. Place in the centre of a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and remove the foil, baste well, then return to the oven for a further 25 minutes Remove from the oven, drain the excess juices and allow to rest for 5 minutes. SERVING SUGGESTION To serve, cut along the bone to remove the meat, then slice the meat and serve with the glaze on the side.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Keep refrigerated.
