Preparation and Usage

Serving Suggestion: Layer with fried aubergine, sliced potato and bechamel sauce to make a Greek style Moussaka. Or to make a Pastitsio, layer with cooked pasta and bechamel sauce, before baking.To make moussaka, you'll need to add 1 aubergine (sliced), 250g bechamel sauce, 200g maris piper potatoes (sliced), vegetable oil.

For best before date: see lid. Store in a cool, dry place away from strong light. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 3 days.

Oven cook

Instructions: Preheat oven to 200°C/ Fan 180°C/Gas 6.Fry the aubergine slices in vegetable oil over a medium heat until golden brown. Parboil the potato slices in lightly salted water for 6 minutes, then drain. In a small to medium oven proof dish, layer aubergine, followed by potatoes. Spoon our moussaka sauce and spread evenly.Finish with bechamel sauce and cook in the oven for 30 minutes until golden brown. Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary.
