Regional Information

The wines produced in California account for nearly 90 percent of entire American wine production. The production in California alone is one third larger than that of Australia. If California were a separate country, it would be the world's fourth-largest wine producer.

Vinification Details

Grapes are picked at optimum ripeness between August and September - fermented for 7 days in Stainless Steel to preserve freshness and really show off the zippy fruit flavours.

History

Loved the world over, Pinot Grigio is a reknowned grape variety grown worldwide although predominantly found from Italy. The USA is the second largest producer of Pinot Grigio, accounting for 14% of global production. The varietal was introduced fairly recently with first production taking place in the 1970's by famous winemaker Anthony Terlato.
