These dressings are ideal in instances where the application of a more absorbent dressing is not required. Excessive absorption can result in dry wounds which can cause scarring and additional pain. The appropriately highly absorbent pad of the Silicone Multi Purpose Dressing holds fluid away from the skin to minimise skin maceration while remaining breathable; allowing excessive moisture to escape but preventing foreign liquid from entering. Appropriate levels of moisture are maintained at the wound site which can help accelerate healing with reduced pain and scarring.Opti-Heal Silicone Multi Purpose Dressing is a sterile dressing consisting of a vapor permeable and showerproof polyurethane film, absorbent layer of a non-woven fabric and perforated silicone wound contact layer. The silicone wound contact layer features a high perforation rate for fast wicking and allows the dressing to stick to skin not wounds. It conforms to the body and feels secure when in place with little to no natural displacement. Upon time for removal or replacement the dressing comes away easily without pulling on the wound. Due to the gentle removal, skin damage to surrounding tissue is decreased with less trauma and maceration resulting in a better user experience during wear with reduced pain. This is also ideal for wound monitoring. The 360° seal is showerproof and protects wound from dirt and germs, providing a barrier against wound contamination from external sources. Repositionable and flexible for easy wound monitoring & comfort during wear.Suitable for:Surgical woundsCutsAbrasionsSkin Tears
