Regional Information
Located in the Green Spain, Galicia, northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, is a project which started in 1985, when 50 small galician winegrowers understood that they could end the issue of having small plots by gathering and sharing the diversity they all had giving the possibility of having a bigger production with all the different nuances and contribution they all made. Currently, 300 families are part of this project and their wines can be enjoyed almost all over. The focus is undoubtedly both the Albariño and the Altantic Ocean. The ocean breeze is constantly in contact with our grapes providing them with a unique saline and mineral character, giving the Albariño wines from this area a unique personality.
Vinification Details
Manual harvest in 20 kg crates, destemming and gentle pressing. After a natural settling (24-36h), starts the acoholic fermentation at 16-18ºC in stainless steel vats. The acoholic fermentation is interrupted before it is completed, so the wine has 12-14 g/L of residual sugar. This has made it the first ever semidy Albariño in Rias Baixas. Finally, the wine is cold stabilized and filtered before bottling.
History
Marieta has arrived to become the most fun and groundbreaking version of the Albariño. Cheeky, modern and charismatic wine than any other. Its freshness and fruitiness invite you to discover a new world, to live a new experience with each sip. With an urban personality and Atlactic nature, Marieta is a 100% Albariño born from the colours and the marine essence of the Galician coast. An Albariño that leaves behind conventionalisms and stereotypes. Marieta Albariño is outspoken, follows no rules, and looks for unique ways to forge its way in the world. It leaves no one indifferent, thanks to its citrus and fruity aromas of orange, peach, an apricot. Marieta Albariño is an invitation to live unique and different experiences, food pairings and unforgettable moments.
