Preparation and Usage

Just add fresh ingredients!Rediscover the simple pleasure of home cookingJust add, serves 2- 2 chicken thigh fillets and/or 150g prawns, chicken cut into bite-sized pieces- 100g chorizo, cut into small cubes- 1 onion, finely chopped- 1 green pepper, finely chopped- 120g basmati riceTo serve 4, add more fresh ingredientsOptional extras2 spring onions, thinly slicedMeat-free swapsSwap chicken and prawns for chopped courgetteUsing our flavour pots...1 Fry the chicken in the Cajun Seasoning2 Add the veg with the Garlic Paste3 Simmer the rice in the Jambalaya StockCajun Jambalaya1. Cook the chicken (and prawns)- Toss the chicken (and prawns, if using) in the 1 Cajun Seasoning.- Heat a little oil in a wide lidded, non-stick pan over a medium-high heat, and fry the chicken until golden and cooked through.- Remove from the pan and repeat with the prawns, then remove from the pan and set aside.2. Fry the veg- Using the same pan, add the chorizo, onion and green pepper and fry for 3 mins.- Mix in the 2 Garlic Paste and cook for 2 more mins.3. Cook the rice- Add the rice, 400ml of boiling water and the 3 Jambalaya Stock to the pan.- Stir well, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for 12 mins.- Stir the chicken (and prawns) into the rice and cook for 2 more mins.Serve!Serve with a sprinkle of spring onions (optional).
