Description

SemillonThere are two hero white grape varieties in the Hunter Valley; Semillon and Chardonnay. These world-class wines consistently express the unique interaction between grape variety and the Hunter Valley vineyards from which they are sourced. We call these wines our 'Hunter Heroes'.Sourced from a small selection of our favourite Semillon blocks. The grapes were harvested at cool temperatures in the early hours of the morning before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine spent some time on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouthfeel. A modern, approachable style of Semillon that can be enjoyed with a variety of cuisines.

History

Tyrrell's is as much a part of the Hunter Valley as the Semillon and Shiraz vines they've been nurturing since their founder first planted them in the mid-19th century. For over 160 years, Tyrrell's have helped to pioneer numerous varieties in Australia and have been instrumental in establishing Hunter Valley Semillon as one of the world's iconic wine styles.
