I think I must have been expecting something exciting but these were disappointing and did not have much flavour
Cherry flavour needs to be stronger
Up to the usual standard you would expect from McVities. My only gripe is that the cherry flavour was barely evident. If I'd tasted it blindfolded, I would never have guessed it was cherry. Please make the cherry flavour much stronger.
Moreish, A Disaster if your weight watching!
This are really nice, you can actually taste the cherry, that in similar biscuits without the caramel by another brand, you really can't. We have also had the other two flavours Blood Orange and The Caramel. Yes they are sweeter, but it's what you would expect with caramel. They are nice as they are not a hard biscuit, but I will say if you love dunking a biscuit in tea or coffee, they are gorgeous that way too :)
Chocolatey cherry chewiness!
These are quite hard to describe, but I have to say I enjoyed them - and more so than I was expecting! They’re smaller than a standard plain Mcvities digestive biscuit, and half covered in chocolate. At first I wasn’t quite clear where the caramel part came in, as there’s no sign of it! But when you bite in the biscuit, there is a clear (thin) layer of caramel/toffee “goo” beneath the chocolate coating. It’s quite sticky and chewy, but it helps make them less dry and crumbly as well as adding sweetness... Then there’s a decent hint of cherry flavour in the caramel/chocolate. Not tried dunking them in tea as hate doing that, but dare say they’d stand up to a quick dunk! It’s not a huge pack - about 15 biscuits - and I’m not sure if they’re worth the full RRP for me. If you love chocolate/cherry as a flavour combination, definitely give these a try! I think they could get quite addictive - rather moreish..!
