As most of the comments are saying, it isn't very nice. Was very excited to see a vegan tiramisu but sadly it was a disappointment.
Feed Me Vegan... who hurt you?
this dessert feels like a hate crime. i've seen some horrible stuff written about italy winning the euros, but this is possibly the greatest insult of all. the only scenario i can imagine is that feed me vegan HQ is, in fact, run by aliens, who have never tried tiramisu before, and tried their best to recreate it from images alone. in which case, i applaud their efforts, and welcome to planet earth. to give this a fair review, i must say that i did eat it all - it is edible, but i do feel nauseous. i was somewhat surprised by the cream - though bland, undeniably synthetic, and with a questionable, citrus-y aftertaste - it is not a terrible substitute for a vegan cream. however, as other reviews point out, the real problematic star of the show is the base. where there should have been a soft, rich, COFFEE infused sponge, there was a sandy, dry, not-quite-digestive, definitely-not-ladyfingers, substance. despite the 'coffee infusion', i could not taste any such flavour - it was overwhelmingly SALTY. i like my NaCl, but my god. what on earth is going on there? it was plain DUSTY. you might have a better evening if you decide to snort it. overall. if you mix the cream into the base - it is edible. but i cannot recommend this. if you're expecting tiramisu - don't. on the other hand, if you want to ruin someone's day - gift this to them.
Do not buy
Nothing like tiramisu. Strange flavour and texture. Did not enjoy at all.
Awful..avoid at all cost
This is truly awful. No redeeming qualities at all. Dry base, no coffee taste, synthetic awful tasting whipped topping. I have to say it one of the most palate challenging items of food I have every tasted!
This is REALLY horrible
I'd have given this zero stars if possible. This is truly horrible. The base is dry as sand, no coffee layer, the whipped top is absolutely disgusting. I really wasted my pudding money on this.
This dessert makes me sad :(
Worst dessert I've eaten for ages. It tastes nothing like a tiramisu. More like a weird synthetic orange flavoured mousse on top of a dry crumbly brown biscuit. Very weird.
Nothing even vaguely resembling tiramisu about this! It's more or less okay, edible but unexciting, and should be given a different name so someone expecting a tiramisu-like dessert won't be disappointed. Rather than coffee soaked sponge cake, the brown stuff at the bottom is some sort of crumble. The white mousse on top is sweet but oddly flavourless. I gave it a try as it was reduced, but won't be buying it again.
Delicious tasting dessert that comes in a pack of 2 pots, which are reasonably sized compared to many other diary free desserts. This dessert has a very nice creamy tiramisu mousse-like topping on top of a chocolate biscuit base. Very more-ish. My daughter and I both love it and will be buying more. Really yummy and at the club card price is very good value for money!
DO NOT BUY!
WARNING: DO NOT BUY IT! This tastes NOTHING like a Tiramisu... NOTHING! Whoever you are Lucy Watson, you need to go back to the drawing board on this one. Not keen on the use of palm oil either! I’d give this less that 1 star if I could. HORRIBLE dry chemical aftertaste too.. how do you even manage that? Back to Tesco you go you nasty pots of disappointments!
