These are awful, nothing like the Schar ones which are always out of stock
Best free from alternative to Custard Creams yet
Since developing allergies in the past year I have been searching for free from biscuits that don't actually taste as though there is something missing... These are by far the best free from alternatives to custard creams I have came across yet and they contain LESS sugar than the Schar ones which is always a bonus!
These are horrible. Whereas the Schar custard creams that Tesco’s used to stock tasted spot on, these just taste of artificial vanilla. I really don’t want to eat them which is unheard of for me with biscuits.. or with just about anything really. Sighhhhh
Amazing! When I saw these biscuits I was so excited! I haven’t had custard cream biscuits in years. They taste amazing and they contain rice flour instead of oat which was amazing! I’m so happy I finally have a biscuit to dunk in my tea again!
My daughter likes these biscuits. They are vegan too which helps as she is coeliac and lactose intolerant. They could be a bit cheaper though.
Probably the best Free From Biscuit to date
Purchased these a couple of weeks ago and product tastes almost identical to the real thing. I've tried other retailer variants and this one tops it. Clearly Dairy Free, Wheat Free, Gluten Free which you don't always get and it's made with Rice Flour!!! Top product, well done Tesco.
I can only agree with other reviews, HORRIBLE artificial taste and SICKLY sweet, I think it’s unfair that Tesco’s have stopped selling the perfect Schar biscuits and replaced with these....!!! Sainsburys here I come...?
Please bring back the Schar custard creams
Please bring back the Schar custard creams, Tesco's own are awful both in taste and texture. If Schar are unavailable now because they have been replaced with your own inferior brand then I will have to purchase elsewhere. Its bad enough being on such a limited diet and now you have discontinued a really excellent product.
YUK ! Sickly Sweet.
Horrible - far too sweet. Why oh Why do food manufactures think that 'Gluten Free' or 'Free From' means replace gluten with loads of sugar ???? Sugar is the 2nd largest ingredient of these biscuits, closely followed by invert sugar syrup and glucose syrup. The branded equivalent is so much better.
Good brand replaced by pricey inferior own brand
Seriously inferior product compared to the one recently removed from their range. Free-from customers already suffer a limited range and over pricing. To remove a good quality brand name product, that warrants the higher price tag, and replace with a far inferior own brand product limits our choice even further, doesn't justify the price tag and will only result in me seeking better quality and range of free from products elsewhere. The least Tesco could do is have a choice of brand, not just their own, online. For the record, apart from the appalling taste and texture, custard creams are oblong, not square.
