Totally tasteless, don't bother with these
So shocked by these prawns I had to write a review
So shocked by these prawns I had to write a review, seriously do not bother buying these they taste of absolutely nothing i have never eaten a prawn in my life that tasted of nothing wish I read the reviews beforehand I will definitely be requesting a refund I don’t know how Tesco can put this product on the shelves.
When I opened the pack of SEACHILL peeled King Prawns, my kitchen was flooded with the amazing aroma of the sea. I was taken back to my childhood when seafood really was seafood. each succulent prawn bursting with flavour as it hit my palate. With my eyes closed I was transported onto the fishing boat which caught this wonderful product. Added to any meal or on their own, they are truly a culinary delight. A perfect all-rounder. Well done Tesco you've scored top marks yet again!!
Do not bother with these
these were the worst prawns I have ever had. They had no taste what so ever. A complete waste of money.
Tasteless King Prawns !
Today they looked like any King Prawn which I sometimes nibble on as a light snack in the afternoon, or put a few on fresh thin sliced white buttered bread, or add to a summer sea-food salad with a locally bought dressed crab etc, but these SEACHILL cooked & peeled King Prawns were virtually tasteless, sadly I seem to recall that not very long ago Tesco sold another type under a different name , the sort of sea foodie taste of shrimps and prawns is unmistakable but these had nothing. These are to me the worst wet bits of sea food I've ever tasted , well apart from the 'brown crab paste' sold in little jars, and even that had a peppery flavour.
Mushy! disgusting! do not buy!!!
Mushy awful product. Seachill have no taste and are mushy which makes me think they are off. I used to buy 4 or 5 packs per week of the previous budget brand Bay company. Recommended to family who unfortunately bought the seachill ones and were disgusted by them. I now buy the tesco own brand. More expensive and maybe that's the plan.
No taste and very watery
Worst prawns ever
These prawns are disgusting. Tesco did a cheaper brand before (Baywater I think) whose prawns were alright but have replaced them with these horrible things. They are full of water, stay transparent even when cooked and literally taste of nothing.
The first and only review I've ever posted here. I used to buy a tray of prawns habitually in Tesco, same price different brand. These are the definition of tasteless. They do not taste like prawns. They taste like nothing.
Tesco might match Aldi’s on price but definitely NOT on quality...!!! No flavour at all, just soggy water soaked lumps!! Absolutely disgusting!!
