This is not a doughnut! This was soggy, pale and undercooked. Replaced sugar with what feels like cheap icing sugar. Would never buy again.
Best ever doughnuts MMMM
The best doughnuts I have ever tasted ligh fresh and lots of tasty jam.
I used to pick up tesco doughnuts pretty often and they were lovely, I bought some from instore today and they're completely different to how they used to be. Pale, three puncture marks on the top of each doughnut now, weird aftertaste to the soggy dough, and the jam was just pure sugar taste, no fruitiness at all.
Disgusting is too polite
No stars would be right. Jam coloured sugar puree. The dough has an after taste that makes you gagg.
This is the worst donut I have ever eaten, it was salty, processed rubbish. I'm not one for leaving reviews but I had too, it was that bad!
These really are terrible now.
These really are terrible now. They were wet, actually dripping and seeping through the bag. Like a trooper I ate one anyway and regretted it instantly. It was not like any doughnut I had tasted before. Wet, slimy, pale, jam wasn’t tasteless but wasn’t tasty either, something, well horrible really. Quite honestly I will never buy them ever again and I love all sweet foods and often persevere as my sweet tooth gets the better of me, and I am never full up, but not with these – never again. Very disappointed Tesco.
No more for me sorry Tesco.
What Has happened to doughnuts, they used to be squidgy dark brown sugar coated sometimes a bit too squidgy but still yummy, today they were Pale Uniform as if done in a cake tray. Nothing like a Doughnut of old, Tesco’s were the best, unless bought outside Hanley market from the travelling doughnut man.very disappointed. No more for me.
Just horrible! Very artificial taste. Jam just sweet with no flavour. I didn't think it was possible to dislike a doughnut, but these are really the worst!
Frozen my heart is broken
Purchased this item from the instore bakery and ate one almost immediately expecting a comforting warming snack on a cold winter's day. The doughnuts were really cold and frozen in the middle, the jam was solid. Despite being sold in the instore bakery the doughnuts can't have been freshly baked instore. This was particularly disappointing to me because I used to be have a Saturday job in an instore supermarket bakery and my favourite task was jamming the doughnuts. Really disappointed, everything I know and love about doughnuts has changed, not sure I will ever eat a supermarket doughnut again. In fairness to Tesco when I contacted them online, they offered a refund and asked me to return the packaging so that they can investigate, I am not interested in a refund and no longer have the packaging. Reading the other reviews Tesco are selling a product in the instore bakery that is not freshly baked onsite. The doughnuts are frozen, defrosted and then put out for sale - resulting in soggy, cold disappointing doughballs. I suspect the other cakes and pastries sold in the instore bakery section are not baked onsite either
Uncooked, mass produced, in the bin
Worst ever had, Partly cooked, dogh taste, heavy, and 3 injection points so mass produced. Tesco, sadly you need to keep in store bakery items for delivery, not these factory mass produced awful unchecked bakery goods. Also in huge plastic rigid boxes when they should go in bags like other bakery. Pls return to in store bakery only as these are just inedible and need to be binned.
