Been buying these with my order for ages always as treat as they were lovely. Now they are dreadful and i will not buy again till Tesco go back to the old recipe. Stop fixing what isn't broken this is using inferior ingredients to keep cost same . Personally i would pay a few pence more for the old quality . As i will not be buying these .
Totally devoid of any doughnut character
Runny red filling oozing from three holes on the base of very dry, unyielding sponge totally devoid of any doughnut character. I suspect they come frozen. Will not be buying them again.
Stale & taste musty
Bought a few weeks back & had to throw them away as they tasted musty (I have previously purchased these regularly with no problem). Assumed it was a one off. Just bought them again today & they taste foul & are stale. I won’t bother again. 🤮🤮

The recent improvements have, in my opinion, seriously lowered the standard of the doughnut. The texture is now heavy and they seem like 'day old' doughnuts instead of the 'fresh from the bakery' taste of the old style. Spreading the jam into three pockets does save the of 'jam squirt' but the jam is now more concentrated in one part of the doughnut, leaving the outer areas much dryer.

The donut smells and tastes like play-doh. The new all plastic packaging is also terrible, it's 2021. We're here to cut down on plastic and help the planet. Will not be buying until in normal paper packaging and tastes better.
Disgusting. Seemingly 2 day old dry stale donuts being sold as fresh baked. 1 bad packet, maybe just a bad day. 2 bad packets now! That's a problem.

bought some on sat 1st may they where frozen in the middle i thought theses where fresh daily DREADFULL !!!!!!
Used to be a fan of these but recipe has been changed and now not worth the calories!
Recent change to horrible doughnuts
I don't know what has happened, in a recent change, these have become more like a bread roll with jam in the middle, they are tasteless and dry in texture. We even managed to get one with no jam, much to the disgust of my son who looks forward to these as a weekly treat.
Gone are the days of the best doughnuts ever. These were dry, and completely tasteless. Won't bother again and I suggest you don't either. Tesco, you used to have really delicious jam doughnuts, full of jam, and sugary. What happened?
