Tesco's best Scotch egg in my view
I think these are the best Scotch eggs stocked by Tesco. The sausagemeat seems better quality than their ordinary Scotch eggs, and the egg centre is properly hard boiled.
Not as nice as the regular Tesco, varient.
These are not as nice as the regular Tesco 4 pack. The crumb's texture is a bit rougher, thicker and over-seasoned. The only upside is the crumb-to-egg ratio. The egg filled the crumb, which was a pleasant surprise.
Delicious
Worth paying a bit more for as these were scrumptious and had the feel of luxury.
NOT FREE RANGE
For goodness sake. Supposedly a finest product but not using free range eggs. Shame on you Tesco. I wont be buying these again. So many comments about them not being free range, perhaps you should listen to your customers.
Not this one
sorry, not to my taste.
Good high pork content but not a free-range egg?
I find these scotch eggs really tasty and good quality compared to others from different supermarkets which I've tried what they class as taste the difference and the best deluxe range etc. I love the breadcrumb coating and the pork meat content is a good amount compared with normal scotch eggs that you can buy which is basically half the percentage of these. The only thing I'm disappointed with that it doesn't include a free-range egg. Why ?. This is the only thing that lets it down for me but other than that I think these are good quality.
Not much taste
Had to use pepper & salt (I very rarely use salt) and some Garlic Mayo to pep it up. Warmed in oven. Too much sausage meat in my opinion, and quite dry and 'bitty' Eggs were fine but again dry. John
Excellent quality. Totally delicious.
