Sad looking on arrival and binned within 2 days!
I have bought these twice and each time they looked past their best on the day they arrived, and started going black at the ends and slimy within two days. Tesco carrots usually last over a week, so this is very disappointing and definitely not up to Tesco's usual standards. Reluctant to try them again, so not recommended!
Poor quality sub standard carrots
Poor quality. I have tried them many times, as I like to support the 'imperfect' fruit and veg market. However, these are poor value as arrive in their bag very wet and mushy. Most of the carrots a very broken, and look like they have been through the washing machine. Brown bits already present, so rather a waste as they need to be chopped off and used immediately. Not good if you were hoping to have carrots with your dinner the next day.
I buy these almost every week. Some weeks they are fantastic really sweet & tasty other weeks they are tasteless but for me who uses them only in cooking to bulk out soups, stews & a substitute for egg in pancakes, they are fabulous for my needs. I do use them ASAP & what I’m not using I cut up & blanch them then freeze till I need them. For me they are fine, I know what I’m buying by the title ‘Imperfect’ carrots & this is what you get.
The Norfolk perfectly imperfect carrots were grim!
Norfolk perfectly imperfect carrots were of an extremely poor quality, almost inedible, whereas the Scottish perfectly imperfect carrots were as described on the label. The Norfolk supplier needs to improve the quality of his produce.
I bought these soaking wet carrots and stored them in the fridge in the packet and they went off very quickly. I bought another packet and opened it up and put the carrots on the countertop to dry overnight and then put them in the fridge and they lasted much longer. They seem to come in the packet pre soaked!
All went in the bin.
All went in the bin.
Found them very poor. Many of the ends were alrea
Found them very poor. Many of the ends were already going off. Slimy and rotten
It's a sad, sad, carrot situation
Carrots started going mouldy after 2 days and I had to throw half the bag away. This was after opening the bag as soon as the carrots were brought home. Treat yourself and spend a few more pennies on your carrots!
Dont store well, get what you pay for.
While i'm not really bothered about size and shape, I do find that at least one of the carrots in the bag is going rotten and others follow quickly. So unless they are going to be used within a day or two, you'd be better off buying quality carrots as so much is cut out or thrown away with these.
No had them last week enormous old and slimy not y
