Good kettle for the bargain price.
Good basic kettle(doesn't fly to the moon!) and the spout is long enough for it Not to (annoyingly) drip. Boiled it four times before use and didn't get a plastic taste. Quite sturdy. Had to get a relative to purchase it from the shop as the old one of another make decided to keep switching off and not boiling.
Makes a good cuppa.
Good value for the money. I had read the other review of this kettle & was not sure about it. The length of the wire on the base is a nice length & it comes out of the side of the base which is good. The kettle itself is a 1.7 litre, which for a single person is more than adequate. The handle is thick & easy to hold & grip. I have owned it now for just over a day & used it about half a dozen times, only using enough water each time for 1 mug of tea so it doesn't take long to boil & it is not too loud while boiling. The spout it nice & the water flows very smoothly. All round for the money this kettle is a great buy.
Can't beat the price!
For the price, you can't fault it. Makes a great standby kettle. Had it in the cupboard for a while, ours blew today so we started using it. The lead faces forward, directly under the spout, and unless you like steaming your shelves, it will lie exactly in the wrong direction - i.e. the cable needs to wrap around towards the back, to get to the mains socket. It also pours a bit unevenly, so you need to take care. Despite these criticisms, it is brilliant for a stand-by at this price. The base also fits inside the kettle for storage, which is good.
