Hot hot hot.
Love it, very very VERY spicy, be warned, more spice than your average indian takaway!, needed a break with each bite.
Spiciness is right on the nail, but that's where the good news ends. This is absolutely vile. 2 spoonfuls were 1 1/2 spoons too much. Thankfully I had something else edible to had. I eat a lot of spicy food (my wife is an Indian/Thai chef, but this was utterly repulsive.
Its so hot you cant taste much?
All good !
Nice and hot.. Just like a normal Vindaloo. A good amount of chicken in it. Cheap and cheerful.
This is properly hot (it is a vindaloo). I normally add hot sauce to ready meals, but no need here. I liked it and for the price I think its very good and will be buying again.
Don't forget your water, You will need it!!
Wow this was hot and i do like my curries hot but i struggled with this one! Agree it is more like a fiery chilli sauce than a curry sauce. I did manage eat it though through a constant streaming nose!! I wont be buying this one again, I will stick to the chilled version.
Surprised by how tasty it was.
It's pretty hot for a supermarket curry (although not close to takeaway ones for heat), good flavour as well (as opposed to just nondescript heat). Not much chicken & it could have been softer(it is a cheap frozen curry after all), but a good amount rice, sauce and onions(great for dipping a few poppadoms or mopping up with a naan bread). For a quick cheap meal, when you want to feel a bit of a burn, you can't go far wrong (although I'd stick to 1+ tablespoons of water in the rice rather than 2)..
Too hot for me. But if you like your curries hot i
Too hot for me. But if you like your curries hot it may be the one for you.
Waaaaaaaaaaaay too hot!
I prefer medium curries and also have the occasional hot curry but this had the hottest sauce I've ever tasted. The chilled Tesco Chicken Vindaloo is nowhere near as hot as this. It was difficult to eat and I needed three glasses of pop to put the fire out. The rice was acceptable and the quantity of chicken was fine, considering the cheaper price.
Get it off the shelf - its nasty
The chilled version, which I like, was out of stock so I gave this a whirl. Its horrible. 6 small pieces of chicken (barely a tablespoon's worth) swimming in a violent raw chilli sauce with no potato - and rice which turns into a slurry if cooked according to the directions. Has anyone at Tesco actually tried this product, or tried cooking it according to the instructions? Yes its cheaper than the chilled, but its nasty and very poor value for money. For the picture on the front they must have put the meal on a tea plate after throwing out the nasty sauce and they hit lucky with the quantity of chicken - it wasn't in MY pack!
